Join Master Chef, Indonesian culinary & gastronomy expert, William Wongso for a VIRTUAL COOKING CLASS & WINE TASTING via Zoom on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 4:00PM PST.
Chef William Wongso has been a friend and colleague of Eat Smart Culinary Travel since the early 1990s, when publisher/author Joan Peterson was in Indonesia researching her culinary travel guidebook "Eat Smart in Indonesia." William now joins us as co-leader with Joan on our Eat Smart culinary and cultural tours to Indonesia.
Chef William’s world famous R•E•N•D•A•N•G dish (the dish that he challenged Chef Gordon Ramsay on National Geographic’s Uncharted) will be on the menu, along with two other dishes. Munik Indonesian spices and the shopping list will be provided.
Chef William will be accompanied by Chris Cameron, well-recognized Wine Maker, and the man who started Broken Earth Winery in Paso Robles twelve years ago. He is a native Australian who is also Chef William’s longtime friend (over 30 years), a foodie himself and very familiar with Indonesian spices and cuisine. Two bottles of Broken Earth Winery's wine will be provided.

This virtual culinary event is a kick-off to the Flavors of Indonesia Food & Wine Festival. Aligned with Indonesian Ministries’ Indonesia Spice-Up the World movement, the event is in collaboration with one of the largest local wineries in Paso Robles, California, “Broken Earth,” during the annual Paso Robles Wine Festival on May 21-23, 2021.
